Click on the image to see it bigger. The top two are some that I brought into class last week. The next ones down are revisions of the first, and the last marks are more stylized solutions. Right now I'm leaning towards the second circular one.
Formally, I'm also responding to the circular marks. I think the type balance and hierarchy is just a little off, but it's close. I think that the MD is overemphasized visually.
I also am intrigued by the bottom solution with the sales mark style for the circle, but it's not as resolved typographically, in particular the dimensional aspect of the type and color interaction.
Students continue to explore the discipline of graphic design through problems that integrate conceptual thinking with formal visual experimentation.
Students are encouraged to develop languages of design that reflect their own artistic and cultural identities while communicating to various audiences. The properties and traditions of various genres of public address are explored.
