The M is definitely more legible. The addition of the moustache points is helping as well. The only thing that feels a little off is the width of your letterforms in the word "macho" compared to "stop". I like the beefier version, as it is muey macho.
Ryan's right, that text on the right side is the stronger of the two, the thickness of the letterforms make it a lot more legible.
The entire bottom of the mustache is relatively solid except for the space between the "P" and the mustache tip on the right side. Maybe try extending the tip of the mustache underneath of the "P" to get rid of that gap, I think it will make the tips feel more integrated into the text itself.
