Development

Feeling better about this as of late, been messing around with it a lot. What do people think about the color? I know it's a been crazy...

  1. I really like how you've progressed on this one Andy. You've done an excellent job of combining your last two revisions with your original marks. I'm glad you decided to go back to the drop-shadow like stitching instead of outlining the whole thing. This works great in black & white, and your colors at the top definitely speak to that old heirloom aesthetic.I would call this finished.

  2. Andy,

The way you separated the crest shape and the 826 type treatment is working very nicely.

For me, the colors you've chosen seem a bit too muted. I understand the thought process behind them, but they are just falling short for some reason. I think it may have to do with the fact that they're on screen; I feel like they'd be a lot more successful once they're printed out and not on a backlit surface.

This is a nice combination of what you had in class last week, and what you shared last time on the blog.
