Revised 826 store logo

I worked on my store concept logo, but I feel that it could be pushed further. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

  1. Tara,

The idea of Macho Stop being spelled out in chest hair is really funny and smart. You're starting to make it successful visually, but I'm not sure I would have known that the text was representational of hair had I not heard the conversation last week. Is there any way that you can show the chest hair itself in some way? I sort of imagine The "Macho Stop" text being shaved into the hair itself, visualized as a white space with dark hair around it.

Just keep playing, it's starting to look really great!

  2. The idea is interesting, but the execution is not selling it. You could approach this several ways. You could make the chest hair aspect REALLY illustrative (look at Post Typograpy's work for examples), and let it hold it's own. You could also make it more anthropomorphic, and let the "macho store" work on its own without utilizing the shirt form. Right now, the shirt is actually not helping to resolve the logo.

Is this shirt macho enough? Does the idea of using a gold chain/pendant work better?

Love the store concept, and I think it has legs, now you just need to push it so that it's totally recognizable.

I'm interested in Peyton's suggestion to shave it out of the shape of the chest hair. Do you need a shirt in that case?
