I'm feeling this, the type reminds me of scooby doo for some reason, but it's an association I am totally digging. Also, it's very boxy, alluding to the concept of your store. This would look nice applied to packaging stamp-style. I would love to see some scooby doo inspired colors too, perhaps.... not a direct rip, just inspired.
Typographically, I'm much more responsive to this approach. It is mysterious and intriguing, and I can see it really playing out nicely in your system.
Maybe in your full name lockup of its "Curious Cases of 826 Baltimore"?
I don't know how the 2 will coordinate together right now, as the lockup you have with both emphasizes the 826 over your store, which I don't think is successful.
